Refreshments
We provide refreshments (tea, coffee, cold drinks) at intervals throughout the day. Lunch breaks are 30 minutes and we suggest you bring your lunch with you in the morning.
Student Requirements
Uniforms are optional - however we ask all students to wear neat, comfortable clothing, low heels, short or rolled up sleeves and minimal jewellery.Long hair must be tied back. A high standard of personal hygiene must be kept at all times due to close contact with others. If students wish to smoke in their break times then they should cover their clothing and 'freshen up' before returning. Mobile phones are not allowed in lessons, and should be kept on silent in the academy. Students should arrive at least 15 minutes before their start time as we will start promptly.
Models
Please ensure you patch test your model or yourself as required. Please check if a model is required for your course. If a model is required you must check for contra-indications prior to the course. If your model does not turn up for your course, then you may not be able to complete it and will lose your course fees. We can sometimes find models in these circumstances. Mobile phones are not allowed in lessons, and should be kept on silent in the academy.
Kits
We will advise you if a kit or product purchase is required for the course. We can supply these at wholesale price.
Books
We use 'An Introductory Guide to Anatomy and Physiology' by Louise Tucker, during the courses. We recommend this book for you to use at home when revising and to support you beyond qualification. Other books can be recommended specific to your chosen course. |
